Picking a loan officer should be based on more than simply interest rates. Here's some tips you should look for:
How long has the Mortgage Co. been in business?
How many years experience does the Loan Officer have?
Are their loan cost inline with the Loan Industry? Some Mortgage Companies charge hidden costs to compensate for quoting you a lower interest rate to get you in the door. Don' t take the lower rate, if the cost you pay now are higher.
Do they handle their own underwriting, or do you have to qualify twice?
Will they give you a quote guarantee on the rate, points, and cost you'll pay?
