The Phoenix area has many sites for recreational tennis players of all abilities from local city courts to 5 star resorts. Professional tennis comes here too during the Franklin Templeton Classic held at the Scottsdale Princess Resort in N. Scottsdale. Plus collegiate tennis at A.S.U. and at community colleges across the Valley.

There are two local organizations that are active in the "Valley of the Sun". They are the USTA (United States Tennis Association, and the ATA ( Arizona Tennis Association).

The ATA has year around league play from 2.5 to 5.0 levels comprised into 4 seasons. Along with league play, lessons are offered by USPTA and USPTR pros, at many locations across the valley. These lessons are for both children and adults. Leagues are separated into men's, women's, and mixed doubles and held at different times during the week.
ATA has 2,400 active members with discounts offered on different professional tennis activities. Membership costs only $30.00 per year. Call (480) 970-0599 for additional information.

USTA is represented by the Phoenix Area Tennis Association (PATA). Tournaments for juniors and adults for levels of  3.0 to open are held year around, in locations throughout the valley. For information call (480) 957-3311, or www.usta.com
